My journey

Hey Lovies,

In this reflection, I’m going to share my experiences from my four-month internship and talk about how Action Damien has helped me grow as a Master's student in Educational Sciences (MES). This internship was all about using education not just for learning but also for raising awareness, promoting inclusion, and being a good global citizen. It really pushed me to think beyond the traditional classroom and dive into educational design in a non-profit health organization and a multicultural environment.

When I started the internship, I was mainly focused on achieving my goals and producing concrete results. I approached each task with the mindset of completing it efficiently, as I would with academic assignments. However, the reality of the workplace showed me that projects rarely follow a straight line. They develop gradually, through discussion, feedback, and adjustment, which required me to rethink how I measure progress and success.

This experience pushed me to become more patient and more attentive to the people I was working with. I learned that contributing to a team sometimes means stepping back, listening, and allowing ideas to evolve collectively. Over time, I became more flexible and less focused on perfection, recognising that growth comes from revising, adapting, and learning along the way. This shift in perspective was one of the most important developments of my internship, helping me transition from a student mindset to a more professional and reflective approach to educational work.

Sharing my journey with you is something I enjoy. See you on the next post.
